ABOUT ME

I spent my childhood days growing up in Cairns, Far North Queensland, Australia. It was during this time I joined the Cairns Choral Society Orchestra and started to busk outside the night markets on my Clarinet. Of course I knew the real way to get the girls was with the sax, so when Mum finally said I was allowed to move on up, I took up the alto and gave it my all, trying to impress... It didn't really work.

I started playing guitar when I was 13. My friends and I started a band called Parallel in grade 10 (yes, I know). We ended up changing the name to Wireless Ramsey shortly after and scored the teenage dream - supporting Frenzal Rhomb on their Cairns show. It wasn't too difficult to realise that Cairns was not the perfect place if you wanted to be gigging, so when I finished school, I decided to make my move to the capital, Brisbane.

In Brisbane, I spent all of my time playing music. From 2009 to 2013 I played in a band called Oh Ye Denver Birds and we were lucky enough to share the stage with some great bands such as Lamb, Toro Y Moi, The Jezabels, Castanets, Neon Indian, and many more.

I've been writing my own Down Tempo music under the name Mouseybrown since 2012 and began writing seperate compositions for other projects around 2013. I spent 2014 and the beginning of 2015 in between India and Cairns, where I was running my Dad's art gallery in Port Douglas and continuing to write. After my most recent trip to India at the beginning of the year I decided that the time had come to make a bigger move... London.

I'm here to meet new people, learn from the best and to work on as many different projects as possible. Drop me a line if you're interested in collaborating, looking for a producer or wanting music made for your next film, promo video, app, website, play or anything else. I'm open to all things, no matter how big or small!
